Ahh, that first photo does make Vegas look so appealing, doesn't it? I felt that way once, when I was 10 and we moved here. Now it's just a sucky, dusty, pollen infested town of sin.

Seriously, it sucks here. Just kidding. Can't wait to see you all. 6 mos. is just around the corner.

I think it's probably ok if this thread talks a bit about Vegas etiquette (so to speak) plus it's interesting to hear everyone's Vegas stories.

Well ok then. Back to Hooters!

I cant believe it's still available!

In light of someone messaging me that they were able to get 4tix today because of the link/code, Im posting this again:
-----------------------------------------

Convinced I'd have a snowballs chance in a Vegas summer to buy some presale tickets, WITHOUT shelling out extra $$ to a U2 promotion/membership, I had no delusions of scoring on the 14th. Until...

Searching for opening act info, I accidentally (seems like providentially now
cute.gif
) found this Vegas article on the 14th:

U2 tickets for Las Vegas show on sale now -- with a catch - Las Vegas Sun

In the comment section: Some dude provided a link to UNLV w/ a free code:heart:

Knowing full well the presale drama I was skeptical
scratchchin.gif
of the site at first, but after calling an ex-subscriber (fed up w/ the presale-politic$ from the last tour) decided we had nothing to lose. The link turned out to be legit and ordering together we were able to get our 4 & 4 seats right next to each other

I just hope somone else had this great experience in the midst of the U2.com/Ticketmaster logistic nightmare.

God Bless

EDIT: Code no longer working :lock: ..great while it lasted

Hey how do I add my seat to the map? I'm in section 134, row 2... 95 dollar seat.. with the stupid add on service charges.. plus parking. I don't think I will be parking without a car. Though I might just drive from PHX.

I have a time-share at the Hilton, so I might do that. There isn't any gambling at that one where we are at.. but they are very, very sweet!

So, meet-up is where?? I can't wait..

So, my last Vegas story, the second to last time I was there was the last U2 show. I ate at a buffet, and I got food poisoning!! It was terrible! My husband called housekeeping(I'm pretty sure he tipped well for THAT mess!) and luckily I rallied for the show the following night.
Tip? Watch what you eat in Vegas.. cause that def could stay in Vegas!!

It's very sparkly! This will be my first visit, we are staying 4 nights at the MGM. Still no idea how to get from there to the stadium for the actual concert, but all that will fall into place I'm sure. Its not really somewhere I've ever had a desire to go, this may be my one and only trip to Vegas. Hope we're going to meet up somewhere possibly Thursday night to meet everyone.

Are you at the HGVC on the Strip by Circus Circus and the Sahara? That's a great place--flat screen TVs and full kitchens, great pool! We'll stay there sometimes because it's relatively close to the Convention Center and not too distracting if you need to get some work done.

Was it the Flamingo's buffet where you got sick? They had a nasty outbreak a couple of years ago.

Yes, and Yes..
The granite countertops in the kitchen and the washer/dryer in the suites at the HGVC got me...plus you don't hear 'ding, ding' everytime you walk out the door...
And actually I've never been soooo sick in all my life.. I'll spare you the details, but my DH(could be dear or could be damn) husband called room service to clean up, and left !! What a guy.. he did make some money while he was gone.
I won't eat at the buffet's anymore..

Buffets can be nasty places.

With so many great restaurants in Las Vegas there's really no reason to eat at any of them.

Ooooooooohhhhhh, but Paris' buffet for breakfast.:drool::drool:

I truly don't do buffets anymore either, but it's because I've lost weight and my stomach isn't as big as it used to be.

Which is a good thing. But, I LOVE food.

Just a couple of great places I love on the Strip...
Grand Lux Cafe
the sandwich place in Planet Hollywood's casino (can't remember the name)
La Salsa (good, cheap mexican)
Paris' Cafe (the french onion soup )
Olives (Bellagio)
Hofbrauhaus

I've eaten at a few really yummy places in Paris. .... although I guess I should say AT THE Paris, since I wasn't actually "in" Paris.

... you know what I meant.

Here you go Martha,

For those looking for cheap seats section 305 would be awesome, total bargain! Right behind the $250 seats, & only being 45 row's back these seats would have been $95 at the Rose Bowl.

This seating chart is also cool in that we can see just how many people from Interference will be going to this concert. This is cool!

^^^Those 219 seats are really bang for the buck. Might be the best value in rock n roll touring history :)

If you go to American Express Travel & Southwest Packages they have some really good deals going on right now. I'm taking my wife for her birthday and plan on staying 3 nights somewhere on the strip. This is a deal I'm going to book as soon as I get tickets tomorrow.

3 Nights at Mandalay Bay (4 Star Hotel) with Airfare $800 for 2 people.

I'll either be in the Red Zone, regular GA (at the back) or section 234. I'm sorting out tickets with friends, and crossing my fingers like hell for RZ.

I work for outback and there are like 4 in Vegas. If I go, you're welcome to come with me and get in on my employee discount. Tempting, I know. ;)

Anyone interested in stadium pics?

The stadium as you come down the street from the strip: On the left there is a huge wetlands preserve :slant:
