^ I will soon, but just for the night before. Going home after the show.

I was asking becase the hotel is entirely booked for the two nights surrounding the show....

and the other hotels close to the stadium have jacked up their prices

I fly out first thing the next morning to be at work by ten, so I'm probably staying somewhere next to the airport. just have to get to the stadium and back. cab it there, or close by to meet up with my new drinking buddies

maybe depend on the kindness of a stranger to get back to the airport hotel. or cab it, whatever.

sounds like sipping a cold adult beverage in a nearby pub with red zone ticket in hand might be the call.

I strongly suggest The Yard House, which is just north of the stadium (about a quarter mile). They have the over 100 beers on tap. I suggest getting the yard of beer! Gordon Biersch, Margaritaville, Saddle Ranch, Fox Sports Grille, are also in the same area.

public parking. right across the street, to the north, of the stadium is the westgate area. it is an eating, drinking, entertainment area. here is the link to the website which lists the bars, restaurants, nightclubs, etc.

Westgate City Center : Home

to me, it's a real nice place to let loose a bit. as far as leaving your car there? it should be ok, although i've always left at closing time. there are residences at westgate as well, so I would say the rental car would be just fine.

nah, my one non-GA concert (RZ for this one), so I'll be sleeping in :D

Think we'll arrive a bit early though, to socialise, check things out & get in the mood to go nuts!

I don't get it. How can PHX not be one of the more popular concerts. Unless you are going just for the show... There are so many things to do in the area! I've got a full road trip from NorCal planned.

What time are you getting in line, Dion? Plan on doing any "sightseeing" during the day?

Maybe.. I won't get into line until after lunch. I should be down around 1pm depending on what I find out. What time are you getting out there the day before? Maybe we can come visit. Bonos'lady is coming to stay with me and go to the show as well as another friend.

We'll come up after work on Monday night, probably get there around 8pm. Planning to go to bed early so we can get in line as early as possible the next morn. Let me know if you hear any news.

Does anyone have any experience with U of PHX Stadium and how they manage lines or those who attempt to camp out? Here's to hoping that the whole thing will be organized...I'm thinking of trying to camp out like I did last 2 tours...It was fun and I met some great people. However, I think EVERY venue says "no camping out..."
