Final Shows Announced
07 April 2009
Details of shows in Raleigh, NC, Norman, OK, Las Vegas, NV, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, and Phoenix, AZ, have been announced as the tour continues to break sales records. Read on.

The final 2009 dates were announced today: tickets for concerts in Raleigh, NC on October 3rd at Carter Finlay Stadium as well as the October 18th performance in Norman, OK at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium go on sale Friday, April 17th.

Tickets for the October 23rd performance at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, NV go on sale Saturday, April 18th.

And tickets for the October 12th performance in Dallas, TX at New Cowboys Stadium, in Houston, TX on October 14th at Reliant Stadium and in Phoenix, AZ on October 20th at University of Phoenix Stadium will go on sale Monday, April 20th.

(If you're a U2.com subscriber presales will take place next week and we'll be emailing you the details in advance.)

With combined sales yesterday of over 450,000 tickets, in the month since it was announced, the upcoming tour has now surpassed 2.5 million ticket sales in Europe and North America.

In Los Angeles the Rose Bowl performance for October 25th sold out at 90,000 tickets - the fastest selling and the largest attended concert to play the Rose Bowl in history.

Last Monday, the first North American shows were put on sale and set the largest single day attendance records in New York (82,000 tickets sold), Boston (72,000 tickets sold) and Chicago (65,000 tickets sold). Yesterday continued the trend as a 2nd and final New York Giant Stadium performance (Sept. 25th) was an immediate sell-out bringing the total tickets sold at that venue to 164,000. In Washington sales surpassed 60,000 tickets in the first few hours while the 2nd Chicago concert (Sept 13th) sold an additional 60,000 tickets. Vancouver kept up the momentum with over 57,000 tickets sold. Along with the LA success, additional on-sales in Atlanta, Tampa and the second Boston performance brought yesterday's ticket sales to over 450,000.

Is Norman on 18th or 19th? Article says 18th. Presale said 19th, now says 18th. It was originally on the 19th

18th makes the most sense. No way are they gonna truck all their instruments and clothing and other "every show" stuff from OK to Phoenix overnight

I'm shocked there is no second Vancouver show. The Canadians would fill it!

That, and no second LA show. So, here's the tally...for this leg of the tour Canada gets a whole 3 shows and all of California gets 1.

WTF?! Did they just get lazy about adding second shows for the final 2009 dates? Or was this the plan all along? There's obviously space after both LA and Vancouver for a 2nd show.

Strange, but they'll be back next year with many Cali. dates I'm sure. Plus, Edge will need to see how construction (destruction according to reports) is going at his new house. If its done by then the band can stay at his house.
