naturally, being there would have been amazing. anyone complaining is all too aware of that, but let's face it - we know what they're capable of with the newer songs, and if i'd been there i'd have derived much less enjoyment out of this show (although, still plenty of enjoyment) than others where no line and unknown caller were played.Always good to know that most of the people complaining are online.

i'm glad we're in agreement? That's why I said most and not all. I too would have noticed the omission of these songs if I was at the show.
1. Bono scratched his ass in full view of everyone.
2. During "Ultraviolet", apparently a guy on the floor passed out. He appeared to have been revived and escorted to safety. I say "apparently" because I did not see it; I only saw his friends rushing up to the front of the stage and asking for assistance from security.
I missed the close of the party. I'll wait to read reviews I guess...
BTW, thanks to those who posted & updated the setlist, etc. And a special thanks to Aaron Rodriguez, whoever he is
Oh and to Steve
Steve was playing some hot shit towards the end there.
During City of Blinding Lights, Bono pulled up a little kid from inside the ramp and had him run a lap with him, then gave him his shades (to keep!) and sang one of the verses directly to him.
9.) FedEx officials did one hell of a job coordinating this under the circumstances. Not sure about Metro crowd, but for me took no time getting up there (early) and while the wait in the lot to leave was 45mins, total travel time was about 20-25. Bob Marley at the Roxy always helps...
so, you could complain about the setlist, and i was surprised not to hear UC and NLOTH, but the show itself was pretty stellar. my d-bag seats were close to perfect, and the show as a whole was quite powerful, i think they've hit just about the right note with the politics. the only song i kind of hate is "elevation" -- other than that, i find every other song perfectly justifiable.
this made my top 3 U2 gigs, and i've seen 9 now.

oh, what was also awesome, is that two super cool women sat in front of Memphis and myself, and they had stolen a whole bunch of beer from the VIP tent and they were all like, "we can't finish all this beer, will you help us?"
it was as if the seats paid for themselves!
