I'm surprised to see that literally nobody here has mentioned this song. What a jem off Joshua Tree. I know it's unlikely (very unlikely) but i'm hoping for the live debut of this song. It would be incredible.

Well it's not going to be played live. If it was pulled back from being a single on JT because Bono couldn't sing it live, there's not much of a chance he'll be able to do it now, since he's that much older and his voice changed so much.

are you a Grizzly Bear fan, by chance?

Agreed. I love it so much. My fav on the album, but I don't think they will ever play it live.

Red Hill Mining Town :drool::drool::drool:

Won't ever happen but we can dream. How about rolling this out in Croke 3...:drool:

 this song so much, but as it is with a bunch of others we're dying for, I'm not holding my breath.

Well, they certainly have played with lowering keys on other difficult songs, so that's hardly an excuse anymore...

That would be awesome if they did it. Seems like it truly is a beloved song by a lot of people.

Just imagine Bono on the stage belting out

"I'm hangin' on
You're all that's left to hold on to
I'm still waiting
I'm hangin' on
You're all that's left to hold on to"

i would luv to hear this song live ive
played it with my band 'W2' you can
hear it here on you tube it was like our
2nd time playing it live.the song really
pushes the vocals out front as we know
infact alot of the new songs from 'No line'
really push the vocals too as we rehearsed
about 5 songs from the new album the
other night.they could still do 'red hill' but
i guess they would prob need to tune down
a bit for the vocals.but like i say the new
songs are really full on too so give the B
Man huge credit! :) i recon he would still
pull Red hill Mining off even if it was for only
a few shows it would be trully wonderfull
