U2 have had a blessing done before the start of their tours for quite some time now.

Rare for them to do it before an individual leg, though. Normally it's just before the first leg. On Vertigo they did do a blessing in Brisbane before the start of the fifth leg, but for obvious reasons in that case given the postponement and all.
