U2 Philly show this leg from WMMR?

Hello all,

For all the Philadelphians, did anyone hear Preston and Steve from MMR report a rumour about U2 coming to Philly towards the end of this leg? I can't see it happening, but wanted to check to see if anyone else heard it. Apparantly it was a few weeks ago....

Umm no but I do believe it will be one of the cities they hit next leg/2010- summer time.

My brother-in-law works for the Eagles and has told me that U2 has July 8,9 booked for Lincoln Financial Field. Obviously things can change, but as of now they do have these dates reserved.

Yeah, they're not going to be adding dates on this year. And July 8-9 in Philly fits the rumors for next year nicely.

I guess i was off by a couple of days on this......July 12 was pretty close to what i was told.
