I just saw this thread for the first time. I am going to join on Monday if that is okay. I think I will go with Deep's suggestion of starting at 0 and doing a - (hopefully no +'s), until I feel comfortable posting the actual number. Looking forward to it, and reading the thread was very inspirational, you guys are doing a fantastic job for yourselves and your health:up:

I gained 3 lbs over Christmas but started my "New Year" diet last Monday so lost 4 lbs last week...BUT gained it back during the Fiesta Bowl party - eating and drinking everything so I'm back on it today.... :D

180LBs! - That’s up 5LBs from 2 weeks ago but still down 50Lbs from this time last year. But it’s no prob. The chocolate has almost gone from my fridge.

I need to start eating more fruits and fresh vegetables.

+2

That is okay though as I had lost about 12 lbs over the holidays when I was really sick and not having solid food. Only putting on 2 is alright, I will try to at least maintian that or lose for next week and then go from there.

Mr. consistent, it looks like whatever you are doing you are doing it in a very healthy way. KEEP IT UP:applaud:

I thought this was kind of cute and that maybe some in this thread might enjoy it's humor:

Subject: The Month After Christmas

The Month After Christmas

Twas the month after Christmas, and all through the house
Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.

The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste
At the holiday parties had gone to my waist.

When I got on the scales there arose such a number!
When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber).

I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,

The cakes and the pies, the bread and the cheese
And the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please."

As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt
And prepared once again to do battle with dirt

I said to myself, as I only can -
"You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!"

So, away with the last of the sour cream dip,
Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip

Every last bit of food that I like must be banished
Till all the additional ounces have vanished.

I won't have a cookie, not even a lick.
I'll only chew on a long celery stick.

I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.

I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore ...
But isn't that what January is for?

Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!

:applaud: to everyone here! From March to September of 2005 I went from 160 to 140... now I'm back at 145. :(

I always fluctuate summer-winter, though, and I've kept a lot more off this winter than usual, so let's hope I can get another 20 pounds off and then it'll be okay to gain five back over the winter so I'll be at a nice round 130 :D Once I have more than five spare minutes a day I'm going to try to get to the Y, they just redid the whole thing and it is

I'm 5'7", by the way.

wow,
I really suck

drop 20

and gain
back 1/3 of it, already

I will confess
I ate a whole pepperoni pizza
last night while watching
westwing and 24

I have not felt
the least bit hungry
in weeks

I have felt
really full
or even bloated
a few times

this is why we get fat

Hey there; to all who are on Weight Watchers or of thinking of going it is the way to go...especially the flex points you get to eat what ever you want within your point limit, I joined in October of 2001 and lost a total of 38 lbs. Since then I have gained back 15 which took me out of a size of clothing, went from a 14 down to a 6 at one point. But 4 years later I am still not 38 lbs heavier and I am really starting to get back to basics. U MUST WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING YOU EAT, I thought I would be different that I didn't have to but sooner not later it catches up to you. This is life changes to make not a diet. You can't think of it that way....So good luck to all I know how you feel........
