So my cousins buy fireworks from a guy with a licence to purchase the big stuff. Like professional ones. Every 4th we go to my eldest cousin's house for their display. Good times had by all.

The guy 2 doors down bought an $800, 80 shot firework. It was the the type used for the Grant Park show. The container was the size of a dishwasher with one wick.

Must be nice to be able to part with $800 for one firework. I'd rather buy a new sofa or something.

tonight we're taking the fireworks i bought out at the indian casino back to the area around the indian casino to shoot them off because, apparently, once i left the area around the indian casino with them they became illegal.

my laptop is back!!!

My friend who had the 12+ hour bridal shower is getting married this weekend. I just found out that:

1. she did not get a shuttle to take people from the reception to the hotel. It is an out of town wedding and most guests are staying in a hotel. She said it was too expensive. This comes from a girl who registered at Crate and Barrel and Marshall Field's. (not to mention all the expense of the 12 hour shower)

2. She is only serving wine and beer at the reception.

The stuff she registered for was crazy expensive. 75% + of the guests will be coming from out of town.

I have no problem with beer and wine at weddings. Just don't register for designer china (vera wang no less. the gravy boat costs $170 and the gravy boat stand, whatever that is, costs $90!) $55 a set flatware and $125 silverware.
