Windows Live MAIL

Does anyone know of any issues regarding it stopping downloading new emails? My version seems to work intermitently for a few days...then stop aquiring my messages. I wonder if its because i use my laptop.....and i never shut it down right....only close the lid to put it on standby?

gman - my personal experiences of Windows Live Mail are appalling and I use it on both laptop and desktop.

I've stopped relying on it and find the best way is to just have it open in a web browser and refresh the page to check for mails (if that makes any sense???)
