I def think that's part of the bigger picture. That and the introduction of the new touch pad features which will probably evolve into a touch screen tablet years from now.

I remember when apple dropped the 3.5" floppy years before the rest of the industry. At work I still have computers with the old antiquated floppy drive.

three words for some continuation to the elimination of cds and dvds: "iTUNES MOVIE RENTALS"
and here we go...(with some other help from Apple TV of course...interesting that Jobs did accept the mistakes in take one the Apple TV had and how take two will change everything)

^But, on the same note, to get HD rentals, you must have an Apple TV. Not the best move they could have made...
