The last two, at least, have been due to iPhone functionally updates. Not necessary at all for normal users.

This usually dies down after Apple gets their shit together following a new product release.

I downloaded a couple, but there's no difference whatsoever. However I was very upset when version 7.1 (I think) reverted all my songs (going by artist) starting with a number to the bottom.

I think they are trying to keep up with all the new items and stuff

That's what I don't like about the updates.. some of them are huge. Impossible for someone with dialup to get

That's why I was very pissed off when my ipod didn't come with itunes. It took three bloody hours to download!!!
