My new laptop has mini-display or HDMI out. I have an old tube TV with a co-ax in, connected via co-ax to a VCR/DVD combo with composite/RCA. My old laptop had S-video out so I used an S-video to composite adapter to connect to my VCR and have my laptop on the TV. I found a mini-DVI to composite adapter but not mini-display to composite (or S-video). Any ideas? Yes, I want to connect my brand new HD laptop to my ancient tube TV!

I think I'm giving up, I don't think the technology works that way. I may be able to go from mini-display to composite with a string of adapters but those won't necessarily convert (?).

I wish there was a way I could stream to the Wii.... but I'll probably have to get a new TV to be able to get video out from the laptop?

I think your only answer would be in a different VCR or... a different TV.

You can stream through an XBOX 360 through windows media player btw (just because I noticed the Wii comment).
