Assassin's Creed I was nothing but climbing a tower and jumping into a wheel barrow full of hay.

I never played any of the others but I'm not quite sure why the game gets so much hype.

Assassins Creed bored me to tears outside of enjoying wandering Florence because I had just visited there.

I've played the shit out of Far Cry 3 and am still only on Chapter 3. Game is vast.

Have any of the PS3 people downloaded that Dust 514 game yet? It's a free one. Kinda like a cross between an mmo and a first person shooter. It's kinda fun. I wasn't really sure what I was doing though. Not sure how the developers plan to make any money, but I think there are those micro transaction things for better weapons and vehicles and stuff.

Also played the Dead Space 3 demo and got scared

Opting for the Mass Effect trilogy and then GTA V, so no time. Especially considering the first game left a bad taste in my mouth!

Ya, I haven't gone back to Assassin's Creed since the first one either. One of the most boring experiences ever

Yeah, my next two purchases will be the Mass Effect Trilogy and the Bioshock combo pack. I'll put 10-20 hours into AC3 and if I don't get anywhere exciting I'll move on to something else.

Haha, that is awesome. I killed some zombie firefighters with a car battery acid-filled fire extinguisher yesterday. That was fun.

First assassin's creed was a snoozefest, and I kept missing the hay barrows.

I never played the first one but love the second one. And I've heard it was a huge improvement over l. There are worse things to do than run around in 15th century Florence as an assassin who can knife two people in the face at once.

Have any of you fellas played Journey? Really short, but really unique.... worth the money if you ask me. It's neat to be playing, then have another character run in and join you, only realize that it's a real, random, anonymous person. We finished the game together and then that was it.
Anyway, check it out if you get a chance

Oh wait, the credits just finished... apparently I was playing with 2 different people and they give you the names. Still really cool

I meant to pick Journey up and just never got to it. Looks like I'll have to save the for next weekend.

Meanwhile, I'm buying Alan Wake right now. Can't wait for that shit to get here.

I find it interesting how video game critics do so little to encourage innovation and creativity, compared to music critics and especially film critics. The best selling games uniformly have higher scores on gamerankings. Heavy Rain receives strong criticism, whereas Call of Duty 3647363865395693: The Return of the Return of the Return of Hitler: Undead Zombie Edition and its ilk will always receive a 90 or higher. I guess this is why there are so many direct sequels and hardly any new ideas.

I have it and will play it when I'm done with Far Cry 3, if I ever get done with Far Cry 3.

I think it partially has to do with games being less subjective than music and movies. Most people who play videogames enjoy shooting things or stabbing things or body slamming things. Usually, if a game is awesome, everyone who plays videogames will like it. Whereas if a dubstep album is 'awesome', I'll probably think it's a pile of shit
