New Vegas costs like $10 now, so I'll check it out once I beat Fallout 3 sufficiently.

The part where you run around with a knife and murder everyone in imaginary whitewashed suburbia is mighty disturbing.

I dunno, I guess I'm in the minority. I remember tons of locations. There's much more to do, more to see.

Not to mention Hardcore Mode was easily the best single addition that was lacking from 3.
I did still play New Vegas quite a bit, never finished it though. There were a few things I liked that weren't in F3. For the most part though, it felt like what it actually was: A between-year year game made by a lower-level "for hire" developer who's never understood the gaming engines provided to them and always had a mega-ton (heyo!) of glitches in their games. Still was fun.

Speaking of which, I haven't even come close to finishing Skyrim... Haven't played it in quite some time. I really need to throw it in and blast though the main quest after I'm done with Sleeping Dogs.

Call em what you'd like though, but don't forget that the same people making New Vegas are the "originals" if you will...

From a development stance... significantly weaker. From a writing stance, much more true to the Fallout name.

A friend of mine loved it. Did every single quest and side quest possible.

No flower power hippie quests though, so you probably won't like it.

I thought I witnessed horrible, horrible crimes against humanity growing up in The Bronx, but it all pales in comparison to some of the things I've seen Mofo do via XBOX Live. Murder....destruction.....murder....more murder......all punctuated with chilling laughter.

And a stage coach that traveled for like 30 minutes before some Texas psycho drove it off a cliff 15 seconds from its destination.

I got Guild wars 2, it's been fun so far even with some major bugs, like guilds not working, but think they are mainly fixed now a few days in. Quite like the freedom of not having to primarily be one type of character such as support or crowd control etc. It's nice to be able to switch up between tactics mid battle.

It's the first mmorpg that has ever interested me too, though I do like the look of The Secret World.

Yeah, I heard about a few early problems, glad to hear they're fixing them. I'm not usually into MMORPGs (the few times I attempted to get into WOW were insufferably boring) but this has been on my radar for a long time now. I've gushed about the art direction and Kekai Kotaki earlier, but it also just looks like a ton of fun.

The Secret World also looks good - the modern and non high-fantasy setting is certainly a nice change of pace, and I'm curious to see how it deals with no classes/levelling.

Secret world is really good. You should give it a try. It's nothing like wow. I think you should all come slay zombies with me. Yes. Yes, you should. It's fun, and the ability system blows the wow and any immitation games out of the water. I quit playing swtor, that fucking game is exactly like wow with lightsabers.
