I keep getting a secutrity alert message in my taskbar.
But I dont think its offical because when I click it, it takes me to a website and tells me to download stuff.

I have my system's built in spy/ad-ware but it's not working.

Its a trojan-spy.win32@mx thing

And I cant find how to remove it.
I tried 1 way that came up on many websites, but the program doesnt work

What program is giving the alert? If it's not a legit antivirus, it's probably spyware/malware that's already on the computer popping up and trying to tell you to d/l more crap.

That what it is, Lies.

trojan-spy.win32@mx

Non of the spyware stuff gets rid of it.
When I googles, a lot of forums had posts about it, and the people said to download the 'free' software to delete.

When I downloaded the software from the forums, after it did the scanning, it said click to delete. When I did that, it went to the internet and I had to buy the softare

Another one said to download a program that deletes by going into safe mode. But I cant get the program to work.

Get a legit antivirus (I prefer Symantec Corporate or Nod32), make sure you have the latest definition files, and run the scan in Safe Mode. If it's a known worm, the scan should be able to detect and quarantine it. Success will depend on whether it has altered any system files.
