Safari users - help?

I downloaded it and have started using it just recently. I should say I have the Windows version.

Here is one thing that REALLY bugs me. For those who use Gmail, when I go to type in the person's name in the "To" field, a list of matches pops up, but then if I click on a match, it doesn't recognize it. So that I actually manually have to type in the address every time. Why is this so?

It seems to work fine for me on XP. I can point my mouse to it and it chooses it.

Or, I can scroll down the list with the arrow key and either hit Enter or Tab and it chooses the selection.

But, Safari and Gmail don't always get along. For example, I don't think you can use the chat feature thru Safari.

Thanks! The arrow/enter thing works, the mouse/touchpad still don't. Oh well!
