I'm playing World at War mostly. I still have 4, but I haven't put it in for a good 4 or 5 months.

If you like scary, go for Condemned. It's honestly the freakiest game I've ever played. It's cheap here, I assume it probably is there as well.

Ive got it, and I cant really say I think much of it gameplay wise. :/ was a bit monotonous. :slant:

I found Shenmue 2 on the xbox for £2.99 though, so that will keep me amused for a while. (Ive got it on the dreamcast already, but meh. Its a fun game)

not until our honeymoon is paid for, mister. :|

First, lol.

Second, can't wait to join the Chain Rape Gang. I want to be the Wildcard.

I don't take kindly to "no."

Too bad you're not on 360, otherwise you could see me knife Scumbo in the throat on a fairly regular basis.

I think DaveC plays it on PS3 though.

The sad thing is, we're usually on the same team. That's the kind of person Imperor is.

Well my ps3 died a horrible death last night during NBA live 09. When it just randomly reset on me, and the yellow light of death came up.

I've since pulled it apart (warranty has expired anyways...and of course the NBA disc was trapped inside. So I'm sorta console-less. ALTHOUGH....I've done the towel trick with the 360 and it was all golden this morning. So it appears fixed, temporarily.

Gonna rent a game on the way home tonight, and see how it goes....gonna have to get used to "that control" again!

"the towel trick"?? Should I ask?

Basically, you wrap it in 2-3 towels and let it overheat for 25 minutes, let it cool down for another 20, and then it should work.....Its a temp fix, and It didn't really work much for me....but I've currently pulled my Xbox compleley apart and am looking at a few good youtube videos on how to fix the RRoD, or at least try.

No Guides for the PS3 though....I miss my Blu-Ray.

It's dead. Same thing happened to me 2 days before Christmas, I had to send it to MTC (the repair facility) and they couldn't even fix it, they just sent me back a brand new PS3 (with a new hard drive, I lost everything I had saved and all my downloads  ). I can give you the number for Sony Computer Entertainment America (if you're in North America) they can possibly come up with a solution for you. It's 1-800-345-SONY (7669). Good luck, I know it's painful when you're game-less and bored. :hi5:

If you get the three red lights, Microsoft fixes it for free. It's the only out-of-warranty repair you don't have to pay for. I've done it twice.

I've done it once as well. Now that it's been opened up though, they won't cover it.

Yeah I know about that, I just couldn't be bothered. I've read, and watched a few guide/videos, and it seems easy enough to fix it yourself.

Unfortunately I'm in Australia, and the thing is still in pieces (I pulled it apart to retrieve my NBA Live 09 disc) Plus Its out of warranty (I only got a 12 month one) So I'm thinking the cheaper option is to fix my old 360. :)

I randomly got the idea into my head Wednesday night that I should upgrade my launch 360 to an Elite, and then upgrade my HD television to something even larger with 1080p to match the Elite's upgraded capabilities.

I did both yesterday.

I am in video game heaven.

46” high-definition LCD TV LN46A650 - LCD TV - televisions | SAMSUNG

It had received numerous awards and had about the highest user reviews I could find for most any tv, so I went with it. I initially considered making the jump to a 50 inch (old tv was 42), but decided it would be too large for my living room. I'm surprised what a difference 4 more inches (zomg, blue pill!) and the move from 720p to 1080p made gaming wise. I was expecting more clarity and detail, but I'm seeing things I didn't even know existed previously in games I've played numerous times now. My HD cable signal looks considerably better on the TV too. Pretty cool stuff, I'm very happy with my purchasingz.

NSW, Gears 2 was the first game I put in to "test" the new set up. Watching my first chainsawing on that tv was like watching my first born learn how to walk.

I play GOW2 and all other XBox mambo-jambo on a 50 inch Panasonic HDTV. It's sublime. 1080p. The first thing I ever watched on it was the opening ceremonies in Beijing....unreal. I almost cried.

fucking sweet, elfa is jealous right now.

:hi5:

I'm not going to lie, Elfa, finally having a set that does 1080p makes a PS3 somewhat more appealing. I think it would be a while before I got one, but still, might be cool having all 3 systems. Then again, it may be the nerdiest thing I've ever considered, and the nail in the coffin that I'll never get married. :hmm:
