oh no, another one of those ipod threads...need help backing up ipod...

ok i know i should have done this a looooong time ago, but i haven't done it yet

i need to backup my complete U2 from my U2 ipod.

i have one of the old first generation U2 ipods.

i tried backing up the ipod from itunes, but only the recently added playlists got copied.
(i went to itunes >>> file >>> backup to disc.)
for some reason the complete U2 and my other songs don't show up on the playlists any more.
they play fine on the ipod though, but they only show up on the ipod itself.

i really need to back up the complete u2 before something happens to it. and i also want to add some of the songs to my new ipod nano.

also is there a way to backup only the complete U2 and not the other songs?
i added everything else from cds i already own so i don't really need to back up everything.

ok i installed it and copied the complete u2 to my comuter.
but when i try to play a song straight from my computer it says windows is unable to open it?
is this because it's an mp4 file?
and if so, can i copy it from idump as an mp3 as well?
