Uh... pliers?
I've got a unimouse, so I've held down the whole thing, the nipple only, both the nipple and the whole thing. I'll try the side buttons this morning.

There is no hole on an iMac.

I'm considering pliers at this point.

i got a cd stuck in my imac once too. well technically it just didn't recognise the disc, but of course if it thinks there's no disc, pressing the eject button only makes it think "wtf there's no cd in here crazy woman!"

but i digress. more options:
- have you tried going to the disk utility and ejecting it from there?
- another option (what i had to do since the disc wasn't recognised for me obvs) was to shut the computer down while holding the option button on the keyboard. when all drives are shown, press eject.
- while rebooting, hold down opt+cmd+O+F (when prompted, type eject cd)

there is actually a little place to do the paper clip though, but it'd ridiculously hard to find. between that and my second monitor, i can't even see it so i just have to take the internet's word for it that it's there.

The disc doesn't show up in disk utility.

I tried #2, but the only drive that showed up was the hard drive. I pressed eject, but nothing came out.

I've never been sure what reboot means. If it means restarting, I've tried that whilst holding down all those keys.

I can hear it spinning in there whenever I start this bitch up. It just won't come out.

Where is the hole?

Looks like the iPhone is staying exclusive to ATT until 2012. Click Me.

I've got to say though that my new phone has certainly made me desire for an iPhone diminish a ton.

my new every2 is up in august, any (unlikely) announcement from apple re: a verizon iPhone will come in June.

timing is everything.

i'm thinking, with the continued encrochment of Android into the iPhone's market that it would be in their best interest to have a Verizon iPhone this year.

a lot of people have been waiting a long time, including myself. the "chatter" is louder than ever that this will be the year it happens. if another conference goes by without the iPhone coming to big red... and now with a few viable alternatives to the iPhone out there, such as the Incredible...

well, needless to say, if they don't make that announcement this june, i'm not going to wait any longer, i'm gonna abandon the blackberry and the hopes of the iPhone and become an Android person.

The plot thickens. Should be an interesting summer.

^ let's just hope you lot don't get all greedy and buy so many of the blasted things you delay the release of yet another apple product (hellooooooo iPad, anyone, anyone ) down in this part of the world

< can't believe there really is only one service provider for the iPhone . . . crazeee . . . so will keep my fingers crossed the whole verizon thing opens up the iPhone channels for more of you . . . I is addicted to mine although the new one is looking kinda pretty too . . .

and cobl. . . think you have to get your US bought iPhone *unlocked* before it will work here . . . the info here is a little old but think its still relevant

Unlocking USA bought iPhone in Australia
(although I am sure there are some lovely tech genius' floating around these parts who could help you out )

this is totally random but Apple related....I started a 2nd job this week and their policy is to email the schedules out. The manager showed me the other day, on his PC, what to look at in excel to find the schedule for each week. I received an email tonight and opened up the spreadsheet in Numbers. In it, there were columns highlighted in red that said "hide" at the top but the contents was in plain view to me. It was all personal info such as ALL store employees payroll amounts. I then opened the same email up on a PC in excel and the spreadsheet was totally different, as it was on my manager's computer the other day. So I guess Mac's can read hidden columns on excel spreadsheets. This might be old news, or completely useless info, but I'm still a newbie with this Mac stuff so each day I find something new. I was fairly shocked to see private info pop up on my screen.
