Networking Mac to Windows?

I can get files from the Windows computer onto my Mac, but I can't figure out how to do it vice versa.

In windows I right click, make public, go to the mac, search for the network, find the shared folder on the PC, done.

I've tried to google it, but everything I find just confuses the shit outta me. Can anyone break it down into idiot speak for me? It's real annoying.

Well if you have the specific folder set to be shared from the Mac end of the connection, you should be able to then go into Windows, go to My Network Places, and the shared folder should show up.

I think you have to go into the System Preferences-->Sharing and check Windows Sharing on.
