Ok, I basically have 3 cameras in my mind. But the thing is I'm pretty much not an expert at all, so I thought maybe some of you could help me with some input.
At the moment I have the canon A460, and I think I like the A series a lot...good quality, easy to handle etc.

No1: Canon Powershot A 590 IS (159€)

No2: Canon PowerShot A720 IS (185€)

What do you think about the cost/performance ratio, is the 720 worth its price etc?

No3: Ricoh Caplio R6

this one is on sale now for 179€ (it was about 300 before)

:hmm:

I was in a similar situation recently, and after going thru the reviews and comparing everything that I wanted in a camera, I ended up with the A720. I felt it was the best bang for the buck, and still love it. The only real issue is the battery...I got a 4GB card so I could shoot video (which it does a remarkably good job of) but there are no batteries I can find that will last long enough, I guess I'm just greedy

I only paid $189 CAD for mine tho, and I think it's regularly $219 CAD here, so the price you are listing seems a bit steep, imo..

189CAD = 122 € ?! Indeed that's a lot cheaper! But you know this shop ad tells me, that it was 229€ before!:der: and it's like you said, I just want one who feels the best for the price (up to 200€)
mhh, this battery issue...I think the big display spends a lot of energy.

Can't go wrong with a powershot, it just depends what features you want and what environments you'll be taking pictures in.

^mostly nature/ city shots and I think I don't need special features...it would take me ages to figure it out :giggle:
Ok, so then I'll go shopping today and decide between those 2 canons!
