My uncle has a 30 gb Zune, the very 1st ones that came out, and we're having a problem with the software update. I've downloaded the Zune software onto my computer (the latest version) and plugged in the Zune and it still won't show up as connected. (like when you plug in your ipod to iTunes and it says "BOB's iPod")
Now, we've tried others ways to restart or reboot the Zune itself, he even opened it up and disconnected the internal battery for a couple of minutes and put it back together but still nothing.
To give a more clear picture to what i'm saying, when the Zune is plugged in via USB, on the Zune itself it says "Step 2, on your pc open zune software and restore device firmware"
I don't know what else to do. Can anyone help? Sorry if I'm not making sense on what my problem is. Thanks
