mac and copying dvd's question

A friend owns the latest mac and has a dvd burner but does not know how to copy dvd's he made, how does he do this? He's clueless about this. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

i think you can copy dvds from disk utility, but i use toast. it's like nero for the mac.
