This might be a silly question. For the play count on itunes does that count when you listen to the song on your ipod or just from your computer?

Both! When you update your ipod it also updates your play counts on the computer, at least mine does. Not sure about older models.

THis might be dependent on whether you let iTunes automatically upload your entire music liberry to your iPod, as opposed to having only a few playlists go to the 'pod.
Think it has to be on 'automatic' to update the playcounts on the computer.
