iTunes - file playing & CD Burning help!

Hi,

I've been burning some mp3 concerts with iTunes (v10.3.9), an even when I select the "no gap between songs" option, the CD's still come out with a slight hiccup between tracks. Anyone else have this problem, or know how to fix it?

The hiccup is also there when I play the songs straight from the program, and it's rather annoying!

I'm pretty sure this is actually a feature of the cd-burner itself.... some older ones I know cant do it.

mp3's have gaps in them, telling iTunes not to add a gap between tracks doesnt eliminate the gaps that are actually part of the mp3 file.

you should be able to get rid of the gaps for playback in iTunes with the "crossfade playback" feature.

i don't know of a solution to the problem for burning though. and i looked pretty hard for one last year...

it's one of the reasons i don't like mp3's.

Interesting, I didn't know that. I'm starting to like AAC a lot more anyway.

iirc, itunes doesn't completely eliminate a gap. you'd have to use burner software like nero if you wanted it to be truly gap-free.
