itunes

if i install Itunes on a new computer, is there a way of copying the files from my ipod onto that computer through itunes? so when i connect my ipod, i wont lose everything on it.

Okay, while normally you shouldn't be able to rip music from your iPod (discourages people from stealing music I guess), someone's found a way to do so.

What you need to do is this:
Go to "tools" > "folder options" > "view" > "show hidden files & folders"

Then plug your ipod in.
Open up "my computer" and click on where your ipod is (should be mobile storage). Then open that up, and just click around in the folders. I've been told that the music would be in separate folders depending on what letter the artist/song is.

Hopefully that works out for you.

I've used Copypod to do that. It worked just fine.
