Can iPods play Uncompressed audio? I have an ipod touch which played Wave Uncompressed Audio from the Slane DVD audio I burned from the disc. But my ipod classic will not play Uncompressed audio?? Is there a way to get around it?

But it's weird that the Slane Audio I burned off the DVD as Uncompressed worked fine on the Ipod Touch but not the Classic?

I'm late to this thread, but I just got a new 120GB Classic (with FF miles WOOHOO!) and have almost exclusively put AIFF files on it. My iTunes is set up on my MacBook with an external HD so I can store all of music uncompressed. My Classic has uncompressed, mp3s and the "plus" AACs on it, so there shouldn't be an issue in combining formats.

I'm interested in this as well because my wife is getting a Touch, so I'm curious to see how that works.
