ipod won't turn off

i'm holding down the play button, but it won't swich off

its been acting strange recently too, battery don't stay full anymore

Have you tried rebooting it? Held down Select (the button in the middle of the click wheel) and Menu.

i left it lastnight and the back light went off so i figured it might turn itself off fully eventually, so i put it on hold.
i checked it this morning and the battery had fully drained during the night

i put it back on charge and it seems to be working fine now.

you ever find a battery is meant to last say what 40 odd hours isnt it? or something like that

but as soon as you play videos,it dies within an hour!

luckily i bought a back up battery pack for a TENNER from HMV, and it keeps my ipod running for many many hours when playing videos! all i need is a good supply of AA batteries, then when they die i still got the power on my IPOD to play music. its great!


only thing i dont like is not having any AA batteries
