I heart DOS

Having to resort to killing Explorer to axe a bastard child of a file that wouldn't delete, I was reminded of the simple pleasures of command line computing.

Ah, the good old DOS...

I too had to sometimes delete files that didn't want to be deleted the 'normal' way

FDISK, baby.

I kind of miss the old days when, to optimize performance, I had to write the optimal settings into AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS. The only surviving remnant is my custom CMD.EXE command prompt, which I manually set.
