How to stop Word from excess deleting?

I'm typing somthing in Word and I must've hit a button when I went to delete a letter and now whenever I backspace to change something it erases everything in front of it. Any way to get it to stop? Not the end of the world, just really annoying..

Hit your Insert button on the keyboard.

You changed it from inserting letters to just typing over.
