Hmm...I suppose I should get a new AC adapter

Well, over the summer my battery life would last 5 minutes, even when fully charged. I recently got a new battery and it works just fine.


Now, the cord to my laptop is starting to fray near where I plug it in to the laptop itself, and if i hold it just right it continues to work, but mostly it doesn't.


I've seen that you can buy laptop chargers in places like Best Buy and whatnot, are they universal or something? How do they work?

They are not really universal. There are some that work for a range of power specs. Your best bet would be to buy one made for your model, or look for a used one on eBay. The computer usually says somewhere on the bottom what volts and amps it needs. Going over/under can damage the computer, battery, and/or charger.
