Yes, yes, it's true. It's my old TV, on top of my new IKEA TV stand, complete with new, multi-region DVD player, old VCR (who needs Tivo when you have a VCR that works?), new receiver and new CD player.

One fabulous speaker on top of a quality TV tray table to the left ... you'll have to imagine the other speaker. To the right of the TV is a sliding glass door, and the matching TV tray table with matching speaker is beyond that.

Please, hold your applause.

If you want a better picture of the speakers, see the link on page one of this thread, in Diemen's post.

And yes, that is Madonna's "Immaculate Collection" on top of the small pile of CDs on the floor. And Netflix movies on the TV stand. And the plug to connect my iPod when the mood strikes me is resting on the TV stand.

Ta-da.
That is so hot... I need a cigarette...

Madonna eh? That explains some things...

I second this... Although one of those plastic TV trays would have been more classy.

Those of you who read my posts in the music forum should not be surprised at the existence of pop music in my CD collection.

If it makes you feel better, right now I have a big stack of them sitting next to the TV.

I'm listening to all my favorite songs on my new and improved stereo so I can bask in the joy of how awesome it all is.

But honestly, usually I'm very anal retentive about my CDs - they certainly don't stay on the floor. It's rare that they're not tidily sitting in my CD racks. I can promise you they were only on the floor for about five minutes!

Thanks for the suggestion ... I did see that movie in the theater, so I did get the full theater-sound experience.

I only have two front speakers - I went in to have my music sound better, not to shake the walls during battle scenes.
