Does anythink it's worth it? A must have? Is it worth blowing $2000 on? Can you not go back to regular TV now?

And for those that advocate it, is the majority of your time enjoying the HD spent watching sports?

Sports is a big plus, but everything just looks better, everything.
"Planet Earth" alone, is worth buying a HDTV for.

You know, that Planet Earth looks dope in regular TV, but I was thinking that if I ever did go HD, that'd probably be the first thing I'd buy. I would then have to spend the ride home explaining to the wife why we need another DVD version...

Cool. The pictures always look so bad in store though. That annoys me.

It is. And unless you're buying some enormous TV, I don't see why you'd be spending $2K on it either. You can get very good ones for $1500 these days, if not less (depending on screen size).

It's worth it, but I prefer LCD screens to plasma, for what it's worth.

We got a pretty nice 37" LCD for $900 earlier this year.
Sports, never watched.

I got a 54" screen regular rear screen projection t.v from my mom for free a few years ago and I like it, but maybe I would like to buy a new screen LCD/Pasma t.v. I don't know, guess I'm not that that rich.

100 times yes. If you can get DVR/TiVo, it's also worth it.
