DVD Flickering on the Xbox 360

I put in my Indiana Jones DVD and started watching. After a while the video would start periodically dipping in contrast and flickering a bit. I have it on a flat surface, horizontal, plugged into a standard def TV with standard def plugs with nothing attached, and no clue what to do. This only happens with DVDs, not gamediscs.

What should I do?

It's been happening to other DVDs, too. This combined with the 360 actually scratching a gamedisc from within has me thinking the Disc Drive is just fucked up.

I'm going to call them later today.

I fixed my broken Xbox with something that actually works... a PS3! It worked wonders!

the xbox 360 dvd player is pretty bad

use a regular DVD player

I was using it while my regular DVD player was being repaired.

Turns out it may be an issue with any DVD with DVD-rom features, so there you go.

Nah, a working DVD player + 360's far superior gaming library would be a much better solution.
