I was looking at these two products: This one doesn't explicitly say that it converts from avi to dvd, so I'm not sure if it's what I'm looking for: http://www.protectedsoft.com/products.php This one does say that it converts AND burns, but it doesn't say if there are any limitations due to it being free (watermark, limited uses, etc): http://www.imtoo.com/avi-to-dvd-converter.html My daughter uses the converter/burner that comes with Vista Ultimate, and is quite happy with it. I only have Vista Basic on my computer, and that application doesn't come with Basic.

I found this AVI to DVD guide there: http://www.videohelp.com/guides/avi-to-dvd-using-dvd-flick-guide-id992#992 It also provides links to the tools that they used and details if they are freeware or shareware.
