I use Surpass. There are cheaper deals but I've used them for so long it's easier to stay than change half a dozen domains. I like their cPanel way better than GoDaddy.

Oh yeah, sorry. I prefer Surpass for hosting, but use them for domains as well since it's easier for my billing and helping people renew.

NameCheap is my current preferred domain registrar. Name aside, I prefer them because of their highly regarded support team.

Yeah, godaddy uses some very funky non-standard hosting.

For domain registration I've been using cheap-domainregistration.com. They seem to be OK, and you actually get someone who speaks English as a first language when you call for support.

I don't think a registrar matters all that much. The main thing is to keep all your domains with the same one, so you don't have to keep track of account info for multiple accounts. That gets annoying.
