Normal because i'm stupid...more help with ipod

ok, it's been a VERY long time since i've updated my ipod.
i've never had a way to update it at home prior to getting my laptop.
i've always had to rely on going to a friend's house to update it.

so finally i'm adding some CDs to it to get ready for my big trip this week.
only stupid me can't remember how to do it!

i've put the CD in.
opened itunes.
the CD seems to copy into my library.
but from there i can't seem to get the songs to my ipod.
i know i'm missing something really simple.

Is your ipod connected to your PC?
I do mine so automatically now that I had to think about your question. So I hope I have not left out a step.
So connect the ipod to the PC (open itunes) and it should update automatically.
You can update manually, but I am not familiar with that.
When you have itunes up you should see it talking (downloading) your music.
Good luck and enjoy your big trip next week

If I have left a step out, could someone please add.

i know it's something simple lol.

i was hoping to have all this stuff done by tonite so i'm not up till 3am tomorrow night

Remove iTunes and use YamiPod - it's free and you can actually copy music, plus it's free and doesn't cause massive issues.
