Anyone have experience with Lite-On DVD players?

I bought a Lite-On LVD 2002 DVD player and am having some problems.

Ok, so everywhere I read reviews for this saying it's region free and will let me play PAL DVDs on my NTSC TV. So I put any PAL DVD in and it gives me a message saying it's the wrong region code. WTF!!!I know sometimes there's codes you have to enter to get the feature to work, but I can't find any info anywhere.

Someone please help!

I don't have that player but I found these codes on a search.

* Open tray
* Enter 2, 9, 6 and 0
* From new menu, change region to 0 and/or disable Macrovision
