I hope this is a good series.

I liked the second episode, too. HBO renewed it for a second season already.

this is pretty good

watching episode 2, now

the writing is good

with parallels with "special rights" for vampires and the religious people opposing them

Sukie "Can you levitate?
Can you turn into a bat?
Can you turn invisable?"

Bill "No"

Sukie "Well, Bill what can you do?"

Bill "I can save your life."
"I can smell the sunlight on your skin."

The episodes keep getting better and better!!!

Episode 4: We get to see Eric played by Alexander Skarsgard (he's , BTW)!!! We will start seeing the Bill and Eric rivalry!

Also, we get to go to Fangtasia!!!!

I'm a Fang Banger so I can't wait!!!

Jason is one of the most hilarious train wrecks of a character I've seen in a while.

Have I mentioned the vampire is hot? :shifty:

My other favorite quote of the episode:

Bill: "Why don't you ask her if you can shine it between her legs?"

Uh, yeah. The Vampire is naughty and nice. :combust:

I also like when he pronounces "Sookie" as "Suckie."

And my other favorite character, "who ordered the AIDS burger?" Lafayette, the flamboyant gay chef in addressing some homophobic customers:

I love this show

It's very well written, and the characters are awesome. And I love the total southerness of it.

Also, my favourite entertainment blogger has written some often comical recaps on the episodes:

cleoland wiki / True Blood

I will have to check out those recaps...

I live for Sundays because of this show. I am on the True Blood.tv forums. We have a live chat every night after the show airs. A fun group!
