I got into this show recently, watched most of the first season by now. It's quite addictive; I've always been fascinated by the period, especially after reading a fantastic book about Henry VIII and his six wives a few years ago. My one big complaint though is the casting of Jonathan Rhys Myers in the main role; I don't care if his face looks nothing like Henry's but his presence is just all wrong - he's like a bratty, scrappy little Jack Russell terrier among bigger dogs, rather than a powerful monarch. The supporting cast though is mostly excellent and makes the show very much worth watching, I especially like the actress who plays Catherine of Aragon and it's nice to see the character get more screentime than in the other Henry VIII series I watched where she was basically a blip in the Henry/Anne show.
