But yeah, if Boner can somehow tap into The Killing and find some inspiration, then maybe they can actually remain relevant by having 'God walk through the room'...only God won't be walking through the room. He'll send an Angel in his place and she'll be some blonde-aggro-chick who is actually screwing redheaded Mormon Lady's boyfriend. And Boner will see this story as "extraordinary" and it will inspire him to pen his sixth unfinished current project that will eventually morph into a musical about Fraggle Rock. Produced and Directed by Boner's 'spiritual companion', Jacob, who is actually an ageless man who was given the special sauce near the cave by that lady from the West Wing.

And the political side-plot is actually an non-linear afterlife construct. And Richmond will wander into a church and find his dead father and find out that he's been dead all along. He'll get over his 'daddy issues' and finally be able to 'move on' and 'let go'. Then, redhead Mormon Lady will be killed in the 'real reality' and she'll end up in the Political Sideways Afterlife. Richmond then gets to remember nailing Mormon Lady (Richmond is somehow the father of her kid), although in the Political Sideways Afterlife, Richmond has somehow made Mormon Lady to actually looks like this:

Not that there is anything wrong with Mormon Lady, but she's no Kate.

And unfortunately Boner will see this is all as a metaphor for Africa.
While it is obviously supposed to be a metaphor for Israeli-Palestine relations.
So they'll screw up and it will be seen as a 'flop' by members of the band.
Boner will then spend the next several years apologizing on behalf of the Cock.
When we all know it was always Larry's idea to use a procedural crime drama TV show as inspiration, when they should have used BSG like The Man said.

Meanwhile...all of this was just an excuse to post a pic of Evangeline Lilly.
I read this using Vince Vaughn in Made's voice.

So what do we think? Another twist coming? At first I was all "ooooh! HIM!" and then I was all "what are they going to do for a whole hour next week, if it's really him? Just wait for them to arrest him and his admission?"

I thought the only reason nobody was picking him was because of how painfully obvious it would be. At least that's why I stopped considering him. I would have to guess there might be another twist but maybe not if there is only one episode left? How many are left?

Good episode, solid execution, I just second guess the storytelling strategy (if it is him).

That was really the most idiotic and illogical solution possible.

As if that character would do that.

FAIL.

Since we've had no hints that it's Richmond, if he is the killer, are we going to learn that his wife died under suspicious circumstances?
I don't remember any info about his wife's death.

Meh. Hopefully it's someone else without there being too convoluted/ridiculous of twist.

Well...there were two massive hints in the first episode. That's what I was getting at.
How could we not think that they wanted us to think it was him? There is no twist.

She was found in one of his campaign cars. Which was obviously where they want us to start thinking...They've also dedicated about 40% of the 'real estate' on screen, for the entire series, to his campaign in an arc that seems to be going nowhere (i.e., it ostensibly serves as character development for him and pretty much him alone - along with that inane political plot itself) so, to me he is about the only guy that doesn't work. Because they used him as the 'bait' with which to usher along the side narrative. There was no 'twist', it was more like 'eh, we're done fucking around with you guys'. NOW, that's under the assumption that this is the 'reveal'.

I'm sure they thought this was a LOST-esque WTF twist but it doesn't fly...I'm sure his wife drowned (it hasn't exactly been said yet) . We saw him visiting her grave in the first episode too. Not to mention whatever else there is. Just...a poor decision, AGAIN, if it indeed stops here. And I don't know how they get out of it without contorting something that simply cannot work. But whatever...I'm sure it will win Emmy's because it's on AMC and branding is all that matters these days.

^I agree. Those hints were too massive if it turns out to be him though.

Drowned? I thought it was all but spelled out that the was the victim of a drunk driving accident. Remember the parole hearing for the woman?

I say the writing is just bad
this guy was supposed to have a strong moral compass, that is how they portrayed him.

also, what is up with the aunt, her neice drowns and she forgot that the message board had the warning up, that some girl just barely escaped the fate that befell her neice?
again bad writing.

‘The Killing’ renewed for second season by AMC – The TV Guy – Orlando Sentinel

let's hope the writing gets better.

Fuck if I know...it's possible that I missed an entire episode. Then again, it's also possible that I was looking at porn online while that scene was airing. But seriously, yeah, I remember the parole hearing...just don't remember if it was specific. You're probably right.
