HELEN!!!! CHEER!!! I'm so damn proud that Lordi won! I'd rather look and listen to "the monsters" than the embarrassing half-naked blondes who all look & sound the same. For the first time in my life I actually did watch the whole show and laughed at it as much as I'd thought I would... I really don't think the contest has much to do with music anymore (although there were maybe two or three decent songs in there), it's all about SHOW. And who had a better show than Lordi? Yep, no one. And I do like the song too, it's really catchy when you hear it a couple of times.

So ladies and gentlemen, from the land of monsters , I've got three words for you...

HARD ROCK HALLELUJAH!

You miss understand me Ava! I'm not ashamed of Lordi, I know for a fact, coz I've listen to a couple of interviews, that they've worked hard at their act, music as well as costume. But it's the Eurovision Song Contest for heavens sake, a total joke contest with useless songs and even more useless singers!! So it was almost garanteed that Lordi would win!

Lol at Terry Wogan's comment during Las Ketchup's performance: "I just don't think Spain
cares anymore" [5 minutes later during France's performance] "I don't think France cares anymore either!"

I'm really a brilliant name dropper...my great uncle met Hendrix ya know

Last time a good entry won Eurovision was Ireland with 'The Voice', the girl had a great voice to start with and the music had a bit of a trad Irish thing to it....this of course may be my bias

Honestly it would be so much better if the countries picked entrants that actually reflect their country's culture.

Them all singing in English nearly gets very boring, plus all the songs sound the same now too because they all copy each other

Exactly my feelings too. Imagine what the UK's would be like though. Welsh choir backed by Scottish bagpipes and English morris dancers. Haven't a clue how we'd sneak Northern Ireland's culture into it without nicking stuff from Ireland's entry though. How about everyone dressed in a Glasgow Rangers strip as a nod to the Unionists?

We could have IRA bombers in the audience too

That would make Eurovision interesting...Ladies and gentlemen your seats have been wired to explosives, if you do not clap and cheer they shall be detonated....

wait...by the looks of things they already do that

I couldn't agree more with you, and sorry for not getting your point the first time! (I'm a bit slo-o-ow sometimes! )

I love it - I am abit annoyed at the two semi final concept we get this year. SBS in Australia will be screening only one semi and the final apparently...

I'm booking Monday 26 May off work this year. Eurovision night needs my total attention, and getting up early (and sober ) are incompatible....
