Lent is over and I have finally tried Americone Dream.

What else is there to say but  that was the best ice cream I've ever had.

Ok there's one other thing to say...the amount of saturated fat in that ice cream is terrifying....I'm scared to eat the whole pint.

The Meta-Free-Phor-All was brilliant!

And i'm not just saying that because I teach English!

COLBERT-BRANSON FIGHT WILL AIR
By MICHAEL STARR
Branson was on "The Colbert
Report" promoting his new airline.August 14, 2007 -- STEPHEN Colbert's much- talked-about water fight with Richard Branson will air Aug. 22 on "The Colbert Report."

Branson, who was on the show to promote his Virgin American airline, did a segment with Colbert and doused him with a glass of water when the segment ended.

He was reportedly angry (or pretending to be angry) because he didn't have a chance to plug the airline by name.

Colbert then retaliated by drenching Branson after sending a staffer for a glass of water.

Colbert had to be dried off by staffers after the water fight.

Comedy Central officials claim it was all in good fun.

But audience members who attended the taping last Tuesday blogged that Colbert looked ruffled and angry afterward - and that the two men sat in stony silence for a few seconds.

Show will be airing tonight!

Stephen Colbert to Auction Signed Cast

NEW YORK - Stephen Colbert will auction the cast that helped mend his broken left wrist to benefit the Yellow Ribbon Fund.

The cast will be auctioned on eBay after Thursday night's "The Colbert Report," Comedy Central said Wednesday. It has been signed by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, CBS "Evening News" anchor Katie Couric, NBC "Nightly News" anchor Brian Williams, Fox News "The O'Reilly Factor" host Bill O'Reilly, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., NBC "Meet the Press" host Tim Russert and White House Press Secretary Tony Snow.

Bids will be accepted until Sept. 3, with the winner to be announced the week of Sept. 10 on the "Report," which airs at 11:30 p.m. EDT Monday through Thursday. Proceeds will go to the Yellow Ribbon Fund, a charity that assists injured service members and their families.

"If I had known that it would give me the opportunity to help our wounded veterans, I would have shattered my triquetrum a long time ago," Colbert said in a statement.

The 43-year-old comedian injured his wrist June 27 in a fall while running around his New York studio before tapping an episode. He didn't publicly reveal the injury until he was fitted with the cast, which he unveiled on the program's July 26 episode.

Since then, Colbert has gotten an extraordinary amount of material out of the injury, including repeatedly lamenting Hollywood's glamorizing of wrist violence. He also created a red "WristStrong" bracelet, which parodies the "LiveStrong" bands developed to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

Proceeds from purchases of WristStrong bracelets (which can be bought at http://www.colbertnation.com) will also go to the Yellow Ribbon Fund.

I just bought the book on the way back from class.

I've only had a chance to read the introduction on the walk back to my condo but it's already fantastic. I don't know if it can meet the lofty precedent set by America: The Book, but it's definitely going to be great.

There are little asides in the margins, much like The Word. Stephen's voice is alive and well in the writing.
