Hughes will always have a special place in my heart. His films came out when I was the age of many of his main characters. I am not saying I totally related to any one of his characters, but I certainly could relate to certain things in many of them.

By all accounts he was a really great man, besides being a great writer and filmmaker. Sad loss, still.
