RedRocksU2, I think Shane is one of the best characters in the history of the series. He just as so many nuances & layers and you never know what to expect from the guy.

BrightestStar, they could theoretically rig things, but I've seen images of calendars that production uses that not only list the names of all of the challenges but things such as "tribe switch up" or "double elimination"...so everything's pretty much pre-planned a few months out. The crates are shipped to their destination and the challenge building begins usually about two months to a month in advance. If you make the right connections, you could be on the challenge crew. I saw a video on it in China...you would help build sets, assist production, etc. and you even get to run the challenges in advance as a tester with the prize being beer. Jeff Probst's brother, for example, works as a set designer.

So I just finished watching Africa and I have no idea what you're referring to so yes I'd love to know the story.

On a general note about this season, I cant for the life of me believe that not one person ever tried to vote Ethan out. You would think he'd be one of the first to go since he is a strong male competitor. It just boggles my mind. And I think Kim should have taken Lex to the final 2 because I think she would have had a better chance of winning. Ethan just seemed more liked than Lex. Anyhoo.. now I can say I've seen every single season/episode of Survivor yeah!

Haven't been to sucks in several days. There are some astute posters there for sure but the majority are mutant 11 year olds that do not see the real picture. I will probably pop in next week or so just to stir the pot and then be gone.....until all stars lol.

they could both be on the next fans vs favourites. But would you have a big televised wedding like Rob and Amber?

In regards to the Survivor Africa 'controversy' - thanks to wiki...

Quote:
There was some controversy surrounding an immunity challenge in the final episode. In a "Fallen Comrades" challenge, in which the contestants were quizzed on trivia regarding players in the game who had been voted out, the final question was "Which female contestant has no piercings?" The official answer, given by Kim Johnson to earn the win, was Kelly Goldsmith. Lex van den Berghe answered the question with Lindsey Richter's name, who unbeknownst to the producers also had no piercings. After the producers were alerted to the mistake, both third place finisher van den Berghe and fourth place finisher Tom Buchanan were awarded the $100,000 runner-up prize instead of the traditional third and fourth place earnings.

Yeah, I've really enjoyed Sugar's game. I'd love to see her win the whole thing, as she's really shaken things up throughout the game, but it's hard to see her winning votes on the jury. Bob's in a great position. Matty's a darkhorse. I can't see Kenny or Susie winning.
