Alexander McQueen's designs were to me fascinating. Some were weird (like those shoes) but some were quite beautiful.

Its a shame he died so young.

On graduation, his first collection was bought in its entirety by the late, legendary fashion editor Isabella Blow, who would go on to become his friend and mentor.
Blow convinced him to change his name from Lee to Alexander and after Icelandic singer Bjork wore an early design for the cover of her album, Homogenic, the Alexander McQueen was label born
.

Not watched the videos yet but just wanted to say as a Brit that its so sad to lose such a young talented Brit designer. Many of his dresses were so beautiful.

May he RIP with his mother.

Yes, very sad to hear. a lot of his designs were just....truly amazing/stunning! so unique!

Yo Cori, see the Kate hologram, is she wearing that dress that is the last one down in an earlier post? that cream one?
