Little hand says it's time to rock and roll.
My daughter has recently fallen in love with the disney films. Some of them are great, some of them are not. I'd like to see you list them from best to worst. Let's use this list.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Pinocchio
Fantasia
Dumbo
Bambi
Cinderella
Alice in Wonderland
Peter Pan
Lady and the Tramp
Sleeping Beauty
One Hundred and One Dalmatians
The Sword in the Stone
The Jungle Book
The Aristocrats
Robin Hood
The Fox and the Hound
The Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Lion King
Pocahontas
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Hercules
Mulan
Tarzan
The Emperor's New Groove
The Princess and the Frog

Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio are the two from the old school era that I loved the most as a kid and will always love. In fact, I think Sleeping Beauty is my oldest movie memory. The first movie I can vividly remember watching. It kicks ass.

But Beauty and the Beast is the best. It would be pretty high up on my list of movies in any genre.

I guess you want a ranking? Ok.

1. Beauty And The Beast
2. Sleeping Beauty
3. Pinocchio
4. Snow White
5. Lion King
6. The Little Mermaid
7. Bambi
8. Lady And The Tramp
9. Aladdin
10. Cinderella
11. Robin Hood
12. Aristocats
13. The Sword In The Stone

I don't remember any of the others well enough to rank them.

My list looks a hell of a lot like GAF's actually. Only put Princess and the Frog way near the top, and bump Robin Hood up a few spots.

I'm going for a top ten, for films that I vividly remember, anyway. I'm not sure where to place Lion King. I adored it as a kid and still do, but without the enormous nostalgic factor, I've got no idea where I'd put it. In recent viewings, I've found Timon and Pumbaa to be deplorable, and it's pretty hard to go past the whole Kimba thing. Oh fuck it, I'll just do this.

1. The Lion King
2. Beauty and the Beast
3. Alice in Wonderland
4. Dumbo
5. Lady and the Tramp
6. Bambi
7. Fantasia
8. The Fox and the Hound
9. Aladdin
10. Sleeping Beauty (like GAF, I think it's my earliest movie memory)

I wish I could find room for Snow White and Pinocchio, and as far as more recent efforts go, I didn't hate Hercules as much as I was expecting, I liked the art direction a lot.

:hyper: I love disney movies!

The first movie i ever saw in the cinema was the Little Mermaid

1. The Little Mermaid
2. Beauty and the Beast
3. Cinderella
4. Sleeping Beauty
5. The disney version of the Christmas Story (Not on the above list, but it should be there )
6.Lady and the Tramp
7. The Aristocrats
8. Snow White
9. Pocahontas
10. Bedknobs and Broomsticks (again not on the list, but anyways)

Looking at that list reminds me of how scary some of thoes movies seemed when I was little. I never saw the lion king untill I was 11, for some reason I was really frightened.
Same with fantasia 2000, I think because it seemed like it didn't have much of a plot to it.

I'm still yet to see princess and the frog, it hasn't come out here yet, but as usual it will make me fall in love with disney movies all over again.

I'm going to go and dig out the disney VHS's and watch one right now. :D
