I think he's just saying that he saw a band that was obviously going through some sort of turbulence during their show, then a friend that he saw with, came across this tv series which deals with situations like this, where you can be a very talented musician, but can let the life style completely mess everything up. Makes sense to me

yea bono_212 nailed it. i've seen the show before. bands kinda starting to go somewhere but they get too wrapped up in egos or drugs or just not knowing how to handle themselves as professional artists. little bit sad.
