It has just been reported that TLC has put the show on hiatus until August the 3rd. I think that it was a very wise decision on TLC's part to give this family a break. I just wish that they would cancel the show all together for the children's sake. They are the innocent victims, and my heart goes out to them.

Jon and Kate Divorce Docs -- Not for Your Eyes
Posted Jun 23rd 2009 12:00PM by TMZ Staff

Every single aspect of Jon and Kate Gosselin's lives is on display for anyone with the two C's -- curiosity and cable -- but don't expect to feast your beady eyes on their divorce docs ... they're sealed.

The docs, which were filed in Montgomery County, PA, are under lock and key -- safely hidden away from the media hype that has fueled the show's massive ratings.

We're told all the court clerks were personally called by the head of the department, and told under no circumstances are the papers to be released -- and if they were, it means BIG trouble.

If you notice our screen grab from the court's website, the docs weren't scanned in for public viewing (circled).

What we do know: Kate filed the papers and the filing cost her $282.50.

I am very glad to hear this news too. Very wise move on behalf of TLC.

Personally, I'd not pick either of them as friends from everything I've ever seen of them both. He, as a snake who seems to manipulate and carefully mould everything around him. She, an erratic and overly fiesty and very unbalanced alpha with an inability to see the forest for the trees.

This divorce, if it ends this shamble of a circus show, might be the best thing for the kids - who never chose this stage to perform on.

I just caught Kate's brother and his wife mouthing off in the Press again about their thoughts on last night's show and how disgusted they are with Kate. Seems Kate's brother has now disowned her. That's nice. How do you explain that to kids? Great family.

Kate may be a "raging bitch"-she can appear that way on the show but who knows how they edit it (maybe they like Jon being the "henpecked" husband and they don't show certain sides of him-and what about men who parent and are husbands in the style of Kate, what do we call them)? They got married very young, I believe he was only 22. Maybe she feels she has to be very regimented and controlling because they have eight kids. I don't have any kids and I can't imagine having to parent eight-stay at home or not. So he now gets to live the single life that he really never got to live much of. Maybe the grass will be greener, maybe it won't. Maybe she's right and the divorce would have happened regardless of the show and they got married too young, their personality types were too different, whatever. But they did the show and have to deal with the consequences of that-primarily for their kids.

Yes TLC has so many of these shows now and they're not the best way for families to have a healthy existence, in my opinion. Sure the money's great but at what cost? I don't know if the show will continue past this contract that they already have but they better just do what's really best for those kids.

Remember when TLC used to stand for The Learning Channel?

Ain't much "learning" going on these days.

Now they have a "Little Couple" show. I watched one episode on On Demand.

I admit it, I love that one Say Yes To The Dress. I like What Not To Wear too.

I watched Cake Boss once-this week. They had this really crazy bridezilla on who took the icing bag to her beautiful calla lily cake that the cake boss guy made for her. It was funny.

BBC America has this show where couples are engaged to be married and they give a budget to the groom to be and have only him plan the wedding. They separate the Bride and Groom to allow the Groom to plan everything, even choosing the wedding dress. It's pretty funny. I forget the name of the show!!! I'll have to go look it up and report back. It's a 30 min show and they usually broadcast several episodes back to back several nights a week.

Saw on Yahoo news that it was Jon who wanted the divorce,. It seems that he is going through a mid-life crisis. He said the other night that Kate pretty much ruled the rooster, so you see it takes two to make or not make a marriage.
